I do think that you have a real Solingen razor. That makes it good steel.
You should be able to get this razor as sharp as any other razor.

Does the razor say that it is made in Solingen, Germany, or did you just see Solingen? Some of the Pakis say "Rockwell Solingen." THis is beginning to sound like one of them. I'm no expert, but I've been doing a lot of microscope work lately with all different razors and I haven't seen one where the edge has a brass color, instead of steel. Since you took the edge down with a 1K, I assume that you removed anything that may have been fouling the edge.

Here is a url with pics of the razor: http://www.adiscountbeauty.com/page463.html

Notice it doesn't say 'Solingen, Germany" or that it's made in Germany. THis could be a Paki.

here is the company that owns mehaz:
    http://www.spilo.com/Products/itemDe...p=1&id=MCR0056
they have a number and email. Maybe you can ask them where they are made.

It doesn't state germany on the tang, so I am suspect.

Here is a company that I found looking for info. I don't think that they made the razor, but still is interesting:

And you believe that because they say that on their web site? It may be true but remember Rockwell Soligen they say they are made in Soligen also.

While I am not fully convinced. They are more believable than an ebayer. They state all their Mehaz products are made in Sonlingen, Germany.

Until someone wants to do some detective work, I think it makes sense for Str8trazor to continue to work on getting a good edge on this razor.

It seems to me if they show all those other personal care items, they have to be legitimate ..... perhaps they only market in Germany or greater Europe.

    Default Mehaz razor

Sorry so late in responding my computer, for some reason, was not alerting me on these latest threads. Thanks for the url on Mehaz. Below is a quote from their webpage so I guess that the razor and some of their other products are made in Solingen, Germany unless of course they are lying. What fo you guys think. I guess if I really have trouble I can send it to them and have them keen it. But before I do that I am going to exhaust all of my capabilities in sharpening this thing and will update you.
