No one wants to sell them. I lucked into one on an auction, a barber who was closing up shop and selling his entire collection--I think a guy in Hawaii bought the rest of his. My barber has one, but he ain't giving it up. You know, it's funny...he gave me every other razor he had, and kept only one...and that was the one he kept. Tells you something about it, huh?

There was one other for sell on a Japanese auction site, an NOS beauty, but they're few and far between.

Some store on the web. I recognized the characters for tamahagane and snagged it. I do remember that the razor came wrapped in a japanese newspaper, so maybe Japan or Okinawa. It's got what appears to be black lacquered scales with an apple logo on them.

Jim since you honed the Tamahagane, have you taken notes on how many shaves you achieved thus far? I'm curious to see how many you'll get.
