Question got too many razors that need work

7 that need new scales and another 9 that just dont want to be as sharp as i want them
yes i had a shave ready razor for reference but it had a not so nice meeting with the floor

it seems like its gonna be quite a bit of work even if i just want "plain" wood scales and a honing job
My goal was the cheapest option but seems like good honing is still a while away from mee

So what honer/restorer should i pick for the job?
US or Europe really dont matter as postage is my smallest consern
(unless ofc any nordic members have started offering there service)

Check out the classifieds, there are plenty of us there. Good luck and have fun!

I was looking in the classifieds, couldn't tell where anyone was from. Even arranged listing by zip code(but they weren't shown to know where they were from).

Yeah I've been looking to get some cheapo scales made too, but have no clue what that should run. On one end we've got that guy making custom high impact acrylics for $100+, and on the other there's the Dovo crappy plastics available for $12. I don't even know what a fair price for some cheap wood ones would be, which has got me putting it off, and considering just cutting myself some ugly plexi ones.

Plastic clipboards make good scales, and they are cheap. Or you can buy razors with trashed blades but good scales, if you know what you're looking for.

Maybe you should sell a couple of those razors that are a bit run of the mill and have Maximilian rework one of the nicer ones for you. I would rather have one of his pieces than sixteen non functional scrapers.

I've used Rayman recently. Ray has great service and sticky sharp honing. He also apparently has a broad selection of scale options. He gets my recommendation for sure.
