    Assuming you finish with an Asagi or similar after your Suita, what would you see as the advantage of doing this or are you using a super fine Suita as a finisher ?

    It was more of a "this is interesting to think about" than a "I need to try this" kind of thought. Currently I am using (Okudo?) Shiro suita to Nakayama Namito to Nakayama Asagi after my Aoto or Ohira Tomae.

    I see.
    I use buffing compounds on Scotchbrite wheels for resto work rather than just the wheels alone. Seems a nicer polish. Maybe similar thinking.

    LOL. I use an almost identical finishing progression except my Suita is a Shobudani stone.

    my suita is either Shoubudani or Okudo. The seller was mostly sure it was Okudo.

    It is an amazing hone.
