This is the pic I made per Lynn's method:
Just bring the upper half of the razor to the stone, do the circular motion, than work the bottom half, lokalizing the pressure there... Don't grind the edge at 90 degrees, there is no need for that, and it's a helluva work to bring it to right bevel afterwards. Also, if the spine is slightly curved (smiled), you want the same smile on the edge too...

Thanked: 2209You will find that the method suggested by Papabull works the fastest. Also follow Joe Lerch suggestion on taping the spine.
