I was the first bidder on the Escher, I would really like to get one, then it all goes crazy. The prices are getting out of hand.

For the collector a fine box like the one with the Escher will drive the price way more than what most hones are worth. Nice too learn from such I diverse group of people.

Here is a photo of the type knife used by the Shochet for Kosher ritual slaughter. These have a cros section very similar to our straight razors and are every bit as sharp. The Rabbis and Shochets use the best creamy yellow colored Belgian Coticule and escher stones to achieve the fine edge required. They do a test using the back of the thumb nail, run along the edge to check for the tiniest of knicks which would render the knife unsuitable for use.

Tonights Escher closed at $202.50. Nce stone with full label but it looked as though there was a large chip on the label side. No photo of the "business" side though.

For all you new guys. I picked up a Swaty yesterday for $5.
In addition I bought three other stones for an additional $10.

Keep you eyes open, they are all over.

No problem, and I meant no offense by my post. I admire the fact that you decided to learn a language not originally your own. Rest assured that you've done an extremely fine job.

Especially considering English language education in former Yugoslavia. They don't add anything new after grade 6. I know b/c I took it from grade 3 to grade 8 and then took a couple of high school oral exams for some home-schooled buddies during my trips back to the "old country". I didn't even notice that Nenad was from Macedonia until we started talking via p.m.

Or it could have been a Freudian slip.. A statement about being too consumed with religion?
