Hey Trinity .. how you getting on with your new razors ? if your struggling to find a 'swaty' ( like I was ) .
Tilly does a 'Premier ' hone which is very similar - her site says so .. I bought one and it's a lovely little hone ....Well aren't they all . :-D

Garry I did order a beginners set from Tilly a good few weeks ago,unf they have not arrived...think our postal service has done the usual disappearing trick....not Tillys fault she very kindly posted them urgent...even before payment ...unf again by normal post so unsigned for.

Maybe get in contact again and take up your suggestion.

This is not the one used for a Bris (circumcision), no worries <g>

This is used to slaughter cattle used for Kosher meats. It is about 18" long. There is a smaller 6" version for chickens. The superior edge, not unlike our straight razors was designed for one simple fast movement and an instant realatively humane kill as required by Jewish law for a meat to be considered Kosher.

I think ebay would be trying to sell a dulling instrument for the circumcision tool. They are actually dulled so they don't actually cut the skin so much but crush the tissue..... actually I'm trying to eat lunch at the moment.... I'm really sorry....

Barber shops, antique stores, sharpening service companies, flea markets, knife dealers and makers, leather worker's, estate sales, antique tool dealers and sales. woodcarvers.
    Just a few ideas.

Also, don't get hung up on a name. Many hones will do the same job. We only need a coarse(1500 grit), medium(4000), fine(8000) and finishing(10000-12000) hones.
