Thread: Internet video chat and honing...

Actually, its really fun to meet people via video chat!
I have now seen HoekmanX in the Netherlands, Coully in Scotland, Joe Chandler in Louisiana,Brian Donofrio and Lynn!
Its great to put a face and voice to a name. I have also spoken on the phone with a number of you and I like that also.
I will be trying to put together some short clips in the very near future and make them available in a number of ways.
But first I have to learn a bit about how to keep the size small
enough for this site, also what other video hosting sites exist and then practive burning CD's and DVD's for those guys with a slow Internet connection like I used to have (56K on a 233 Mhz computer).
Any suggestions from you guys would be appreciated!

You know, I cannot charge for this because most of what I have learned has come from other people who gave freely of their time and knowledge. It is only right that I do the same.

As I type this its 11:30PM, approx 5:30 Am your time. I frequently am awake all night so please don't hesitate to contact me. If its not a good time for me then we can set a time in the very near future ( I have a sleeping disorder so...)

An excellent idea, but just two draw backs for me, one is that the time difference may make it difficult but not impossible and the second I don't have a web cam. I am just asking some friends if they have a web cam I can borrow.

That said I would love to have a lesson, how about you record a simple how to using your web cam and then make it available to all in the files section.

You could do two one a relatively shave ready razor that just need a quick hone and the other a razor that is dull.

And webcams are cheap. You can get a decent one for under 10 pounds. If you have high speed internet, you're on a roll.
