I'll be able to post pics, but it will have to be after the weekend. Heading out of town. Camera packed.

Default Pics to help with advice

    Gents,

Here are some pics of the W and B wedge that I've been asking for advice on. There is one picture where you'll notice that the middle of the razor is getting quite a long bevel, while the heel and toe are just being touched by the hone. There are portions of it that will stick on a TNT now.

    thanks,

Are you using a uneven amount of pressure near the center of the blade? Just curious also what stones are you usin and was it lapped? Are you using circle strokes or x strokes?

    Default Stones

    Disburden,

I'm using the Norton 220/1000 combo, and I've just moved onto the 1K.
Both sides of the stone have been frequently lapped, as it has been in use for a couple months. I've been using a pencil to mark a grid on the stone prior to lapping.

As for the pressure. At the beginning I was really attempting to use even pressure on the blade, and when I found this was happening, I began to use a rolling x.

This bevel situation is only happening on one side. The other is almost completely even. I thought maybe there was a tad of warping.

If the water on the stones is moving on the whole edge on one side but not on the otherside then there is a fairly good chance the blade could have a warp in it. I have yet to see a warped wedge though, but I am not that experienced in wedges.
