I've been getting a lot of requests recently for nagura-style stones for Belgian coticules. I'm happy to sell you a small stone for that purpose but it's really not necessary. Most folks tell me they get a slurry after about 4 swipes with a straight razor in the x-pattern. If you don't get a slurry with the str8, try a few swipes with your kitchen paring knife. It won't hurt the stone for shaving and it WILL get a slurry going. After honing, I just let the stone dry and next time give it a shpritz with a squeeze bottle of water I keep on the honing bench.

Please don't call after 7pm eastern time as my wife gets pissed off.
