    juannaredo,

There was a very good recent thread about using slurries, which prompted me to have a play with slurries.

Others at SRP have reported using the Spyderco ceramics hones (fine & ultrafine) as a base for all sorts of abrasives (diamond spray, CrOx etc).

So combining the two - a Spyderco Ultrafine as a base with various slurries has so far given me excellent results

It worked spectacularly for one old 'no-name' Solingen 9/16 half-hollow, that was driving me to distraction !

Experiment away, and let us know your results

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

I did try this with my dragons tongue hone, seemed to cut a bit quicker, you could also "feel" the cut, never though tried to shave with it as i watered it down as i went.
