    yeah this doesn´t look that nasty! I hope you already started restoring the baby?

    I had a bad case of pitting into the steel of the edge myself.
    It was way worse than what I see here.
    Parts/dots of the colmplete bevel where gone.
    I just did some light strokes on my DMT 600 and after 5 minutes, they were gone.
    I did a normal sharpening routine through to 30k and voilá, s'good as new

    Go ahead and try, maybe even a 1k will do the trick

    After a few minutes of doing circles on a 1k I got rid of all the pits. They definetly looked worse than they were.

    Shaved with it last night before picking my wife up from the airport. Needs a little more on the hones but I was happy with the shave and the razor.

    Hi am glad to hear you managed to save it, would it be possible to see pictures of the razor and its edge when you have finished honing.
