Toast? why?

I have a Bengal that by the shank size used to be at least 6/8's it is no a 4/8 at best and by the scales it used to by about a half inch longer too. I figure at some point it gt dropped, chipped, and cracked therefore someone re-ground it right down to the toothpick it is today. It is still a great shaver and it holds and edge forever.
