Maybe it's the particular touch used while honing.

i have five new ti's all very nice looking razors and i love the edge on these ti's. when i checked my le grelot from new that came with a thew tiny chips in the edge . i rehoned that its now one of my favorites.it was while shaving with new shefield ti it shaved real nice but i could sense and feel there was some thing just lightly scratching my skin. there was a couple of tiny micro chips.i spotted with 30x loop . wheather they acured while shaving or after honing i'm not sure . they have honed no probs and i have double checked the edge. it looks fine.

my stroke is pritty good and light when needed , on my coticules. may be this is just a one of . I no a chap who had similar problems with a couple of ti silver wings . having said that my ti limited edittion silver wing has been fine so far.

i own 5 ti's now, i must admit i love the edges from this new steel . i find the edges very smooth.

I have used Naniwa and finish on a Jnat, I have also used only Jnats but I have not had a case of microchipping.
