Notice he didn't answer your question, Tony. Out with it Lynn! Either you start talking or produce the video and all I'll say is there better be some superior close ups on that hone. We've had enough of this neglect! Brothers Unite!

Maybe we should plan a straight razor place getaway at a camp in ohio some off season and everyone can bring their hones, razors etc. and get some first hand lessons.

Just a thought, don't know how practical it is for this group.

There'd have to be a LOT of sinks.

Why? Just bring a portable mirror, heat a big kettle of water on the stove or open fire, everyone bring a skuttle and your favorite soap in addition to your hones and razors . Do a 3 or 4 day camp. we could make sure there's proper electricity for perhaps a simple class on basic restoration with a dremel, etc. a class or 2 on honing, a class on proper shaving techniques. There's plenty of good bargain camp sites with more than sufficient facilities.

    Hi X,

We are in Italy and having a ball.....

I am always willing to share, but sometimes it is hard to explain the experience honing 6000 or more razors has given me vs. the expertise of those honing 100 or so. Let me know how I can help.......lol. The video is in in the editing stage and I do want to get in the Q&A, so it won't be long.

Stay tuned for some cool Maestro news when I get back.

Ahh, you meant true camping. In that case, let me dig out my dutch ovens and cast iron.

    Lynn,
Say "Buon Giorno" to all my Pisanos in l'italia for me. It's been a while since I've been there. I don't hope, but rather KNOW you're having a great time.

    Ciao Bambino,

    Jim
