Thanked: 1195Great to hear, Rob! I was curious to know how your razor turned out, and I'm glad that you're impressed. Although after seeing the TLC Glen gave it in the Shapton vid I'm not sure how it could have been anything other than perfect.
Cheers!

Any thread that thanks or praises the 'gunner's work or contribution
To those who haven't read his posts, seen his videos or had work done by Glen - you're in for a treat.
If there was a lifetime achievement award on SRP - Glen would be right up there. 'A gentleman, extremely skilled, and a pleasure to have any kind of contact with.

I'll chime in too.
Glen also honed one for me, a Dubl Duck Goldedge, and I will say the sharpness, at least, how much and how easily it cuts hair, and the smoothness, which I roughly define is how scared I am to use a razor (very smooth=Not scared!) are amazing. When I shaved with it I did not say "Wow that's sharp" but "Wow, that was easy!"
And he used the method that he posted on the Advanced Honing forum, so I can keep working away on that.
Many thanks Glen!

Thanked: 4942Glen is a perfect example of what this place is all about. I have never seen him not go out of his way to help a member out or teach people what he knows. He continues to give his knowledge to all who have the desire to enjoy this art. He is indeed a valuable resource to our community. I have greatly appreciated the opportunity to know him.
Have fun,
Lynn
