This is my rig. Kind of ghetto. Ikea table. Not the fanciest thing but it works for now.

This is the least embarrassing view of my kitchen/work area
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Heres my honing station. A tv dinner tray table that is perfect height with my chair that I use. The T-REX water bottle however is a bonus . Again I really need to clean up

Thanked: 1371Here's me doing some honing. I lean against the counter in front of the sink. The hones that need soaking are in a water bath (tupperware container) to my right. I don't use a spritz bottle; if the hone gets dry I just dip it in the water.
I tuck a microfiber towel into my pants for drying the blades or my hands as needed.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

I have been given half a kitchen table as my honing station.
I'm not allowed to keep them there indefinitely, but I try to make my honing sessions last a few days at a time.

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

In the garage (heated). The table is a Gladiator work bench I got on sale, with a powerbar integrated into the back of it. Mine is 6' wide, but I would have got the 8' wide one if it fit under my shelving.
