    My coticule is about 1 3/8 x 6, great stone. Just have to use an exagerated X pattern.

    Yea no different than using a barbers hone. The old X pattern.

    I have the smallest one at 1 x 5 "

    x pattern it is, however, I sometimes find it difficult to keep the toe on the hone at the last part of the stroke.
