Where can we buy proper honing stones? I bought a 4000/8000 a few years ago, but no longer know where.

If you click almost any of the banner ads or sponsor adds, there will be a honing/stone page on their websites.

If you like Lee Valley tools, they have the Norton series, and the King Waterstones at reasonable prices.

Also, check the classifieds, because sometimes there's some neat stuff in there too.

i have found the best prices are here on the classifieds,but if you just cant wait for exactly the stone you want i would hit howard at theperfectedge.com i have found his prices below any others i have found online.as a geologist he has the knowledge of the stones too.currently im waiting for my shaptons i ordered from him and can hardly contain myself,after hitting my local gunshow i found a wolsty and a wade celebrated that need the attention from some stones.
