Thanked: 1Toronto Ontario Area
Anyone here in the GTA good at honing?
I've read the articles and watch numerous vidoes but I've seemed to have made only minimal improvement in my honing and I don't want to destroy my razor :/
Kinda of hoping for a little demo and critique on what I'm doing wrong.

There is a meet at the end of the month. The 28th if I'm not mistaken. Check the thread in the Get Togethers subsection.
http://straightrazorpalace.com/get-t...area-meet.html - Head to post 130 or so.

Thanked: 1195Maxi is in T.O., and he advertises his services in the classifieds: Honing in Canada - Straight Razor Place Classifieds. I've never used his services, but if you contact him I'm sure he'd be able to help you out.

I know the gent from the Classic Edge. I don't have his site info, but I know he also sells on ebay. He and I actually started talking because of some message I sent about one of his auctions, and we've emailed back and forth now and again ever since. I've mentioned the meet to him, though I'm not sure if he'll be attending or not.

+1 to maxi. He's a great guy and put a wicked edge on my razor. If you can't make it to the meet, send him a pm, I highly recommend him.

Since we're talking honing, what is everyone bringing? I kind of want to minimize the amount of stuff I cross the boarder with, just in case a search ensues. I know D will have his Chosera 1k and a fresh DMT325, but are SuperStones and Nortons covered? If yes, that will cut down on the load.
For those that have border crossing experience, what is the reaction to razors? Or do you just not mention them?

Thanked: 993Holli,
I'll bring the Nortons.
I know that Trillium uses some of the Naniwa SS, so hopefully he'll bring them.
