Send a PM(private message) to one of the Vendors in the area of where you live & tell them what you need.
Where do I go again to view people that hone in my area

Welcome to SRP. I live in Miami and hone my own straights. I don't know of any honing pros in town, but here on SRP there are many persons qualified to do this. When I was new I had straights honed by Lynn, Glen (gssixgun) and Max (Maximilian), and there are others on the forum. If you're new to straights, I can tell you that until you get your technique right, you may feel that a straight is not sharp no matter how well honed it is. It took me awhile to realize that the reason I was not getting good shaves was me, and not the straight. When you're ready to learn honing, there are some good videos by Lynn and Glen. After you see the videos and you're ready to try honing, you can use my hones.

    Hi.
I'm new here so bear with me if I get this wrong.
Have been using straight razors since 1969 and have 6 of them in regular use.
Have now found that I have two of them which will just not take a decent edge any longer.
Will be in Miami for two weeks starting Monday 2nd November and found this forum while looking for someplace to have them dealt with.
Anybody out there who might be able to help me.
Would be interested in learning something new while at it.
    Thanks in advance.

This would be a great time to start your own thread This thread was started in 2011 and the last post was from last year. Since its your first post id suggest you copy and paste it into a new thread in the beginners forum. Maybe introduce yourself as well. Again not trying to be an a-hole, just point you in the right direction and help encourage forum etiquette.

There are lots of Florida members and hopefully one of them can give you some one on one help.
