Thread: Honing Service in Miami area

Hello purchased my first straight razor today at The Art of Shaving, its a Thiers-Issard 5/8. Does anyone know of a honing service that's quality in South Florida? Thanks

I'm not aware of any, but then again, I have not looked that hard. Your choices can be:
Send it out to one of the many professionals on this forum who hone for a small fee. The turn around is fast, they say.
I live ten miles north. I'm new at this hobby, but maintain my razors. I own 18 razors now that are shave ready. Half were initially honed from members here, who I purchased them from. The other were honed by me. I would hone yours for free, and return it the next day, to get you started.

Yes, but he does a heck of a good job, I hear.
If you are in the area, it's fine, but if you have to mail it, then it's better to send it to Lynn.

I assume your talking to me? If so, there are a lot of members here who can hone your razor. They are listed in the Classified section of the forum & are located all over the globe. Go to the "Beginners" section, then ""Member Introductions" & introduce yourself. Tell us a little about yourself. Send a PM(private message) to one of the Vendors in the area of where you live & tell them what you need.
