    Yes you will likely be able to see the stripes after the 6000. I think you may be able get rid of most of them after 8000. To get a really mirror finish you would need a final finisher. This may also help: Edges produced by various hones - Straight Razor Place Wiki

    Thanks. Is that true that using artificial stones finer than 3000 grit is bad for razors? That it causes problems with burrs?
