Thread: Classic shaving white paste

Does anyone know what this white paste is? Is it comparable to the Dovo white paste?

Could it be Cerium Oxide based? Has anyone used it....?

I thought it was chalk paste...?

If I had to take a guess it is probably like the Dovo yellow paste that is just a polishing aid. If that was a true lapping paste it would be 30 - 1000 grit which wouldn't go with the description that it could be followed up with CrOx. Again, just reading the description has me thinking it's a polish.

I could be wrong and have been before.

Not knowing what the material or ingredients are I wouldn't just buy it and try it. The CrOx is obvious whereas the binder they use could be the secret but with a white compound of unknown material has me worried especially with no diamond as filler. Makes one think they could be using carbides which are abrasive. ..... I still think it's a polish for that little extra shine.

Well, here is to hoping the gent from Classic stops by to help us out. This has me curious for sure.

i actauly think it is similar to a diamond paste , sharpening paste , they say to use it after honing followed by there cro.ox paste , just a guess. email classic shaving , i'm sure they will say. may be its similar to ti paste
