Here is what I learned
So got a few razors off of ebay with some stropping one would shave alright, the rest needed some to love on a hone. So a few weeks later I got the norton kit 220/1k 4k/8k slurry and lapping stones. They got in on Monday and I was off to the races WOOO!!! (by the way buy them on SDR they are cheapest there). I read all the wikis on honing and I was ready to hone to the bone. Well first thing i learned after is this
LAP THOSE NEW STONES
they are not ready to go out of the box kept having problems with the bevel. Next thing I learned was
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE PROS
which I do want to point out they do say to get your own style which was important but X PATTERN X PATTERN X PATTERN I thought "I wont really need to do this the stone is wide enough" it seems to make up ALOT for imperfections in the blade and stone even after lapping it.
Anyway just wanted to share that I just shaved with my fresh off the hone Wade and Butcher Bow and got my first ever BBS shave WOOOO!!! I always thought that was just something people were saying rubbing their face with the grain but man it is smooth no matter which way I go AWESOME!!!
