No, I don't think so. Barber hones weren't made for use with razors

Yes, you can finish on a barber hone. There are a lot of people who don't use anything else, but there are better finishers out there. Whether you need it or not, is another question. Didn't wan't to be rude, I just couldn't miss that Originally Posted by Tsunami

I figure with the bevel set I could go from a 4k to 8k then to the barbers hone then a .50 diamond on the felt to a .25 then strop. I did this on one razor and it was wicked
