i also have the same problem i got a very nice looking wade and butcher which had a very small chip in it on ebay, i went to the 1k and eventully got it out (chip was on end of blade not tip where the bend is at) but as i did it noticed the blade didnt completely touch while on the pass to me on the hone. the bend seems to be realy small and i could only tell the bend was at the tip when i used light and was moving the blade and saw it reflect diffrently on the tip. since its an old blade is it worth this risk to try and straighten it or should i leave it since its so slight.
