    Hey Tony,

Are you gonna ship out extra 1/4 inches to us old customers?

I guess it's probably not so important as to exactly what method you choose as long as you go after it with confidence...kind of like putting in golf...

That's about as good as I've heard it put. Everybody figures out a way that works for them, although the basics seem to be pretty universal (get a good bevel and polish it).

    Kyle,
I can do any combintion of surfaces. I think I forgot to add red latigo to the menu on the all pasted type strop. I can do them a little longer to, 12 inches if wanted.

If you stop with the 8k then you will appreciate the 1.0 and 0.5.

If you stop with a finishing hone, 10k-12k, then the 0.5 will be adequate. The 0.25 simply makes the blade a real zinger. Sometimes it is to sharp for some people.

    Just my two cents,

Randy, there have been some concerns that the edge gets too delicate at 0.25 and needs to be re-stropped in mid-shave. What's your take on that?

For me, that does not happen. However, it may be a very real situation for some guys. You just have to try and see what works for you.

Newbies roll those hyper sharp edge with improper stropping and using too aggressive an angle shaving. The average user shouldn't be effected.
