    I would digress about using 'sandpaper' to remove an 'oops'! The 'scratch' is either from a 4000 or 8000 grit stone. There are many other options to remove a simple 'blemish'!

    Or, I could leave the blemishes as a visual reminder to be careful using the full length of the stone on such a beast of a blade.

    Yeah, my bad. I have abrasive cloths that have various levels of abrasiveness that I tend to wrongly call "sandpaper." Good looking out!

    What do you do?
