Thread: New TI Bevel Problem

Stefan, i placed to stone. I put my finger middle on the spine. Sits nice and flat, only at one side toe little bit looks off from stone to up. If i put 90 degree, edge is straight at all.

Ash, company listing as brand new and shave-ready, honed by company until pass HHT but like you said. It was for my birthday, 8 days left

I have a TI with a decorated spine that is just as you describe. In the beginning I tried honing with tape but I was continuing to follow a line that was not prallel to the bevel so getting an edge was very difficult. If it were mine I would stop using tape (And I prefer tape) and let the bevel and spine wear in to to the same line and you will wear the spine to a parallel with the bevel. TI finishes on Pasted strops I believe so the angle of the bevel needs to be reset for your stones with a 1K then go up from there.
