Thanked: 33What do you do with a Pakistani?
So, I honed up this no country of origin blade with "OCCO" in a diamond. I thought, "Holy smokes this took an amazing bevel and better yet the thing shaves beautifully." So "lets see what we can do with one that's labelled PAKISTANI!"
So I went on ebay and bought a cheap Pakistani razor and... Well, after about two hours on a king 800 bevel setter and it felt like I had butterknifed the thing, well it did start out feeling that way too! I went down to a 220 just for the fun of it, and couldn't get any measurable results. The blade just wouldn't take a bevel, shaved off a nice chunk of steel though. So I said, what's the difference between this and the no country OCCO? Obviously the OCCO must have not come from Pakistan, theory proven!
So what can I do with the pakistani razor?
I found out that it actually works really well as a "Butter Knife!" But not just butter, I got to try it with Peanut Butter, and it spreads better than any butter knife I own. It also works with Jams, Jellies, Marmalades, and soft cheeses! Next I think I may actually try it in a cheese ball!
What do you do with your Pakistani?"Charlotte meetup," lets shoot for April 13-14 or 20-21. What say you? PM me to get the ball rolling! And may your face always be BBS!

Thanked: 88I kept one around the shop for a while for cutting rags and stuff. I eventually replaced it with a knife.

Thanked: 33Come to think about it, I should have put this in the razors thread not the honing thread, even though I did give honing that Pakistani my best shot!
It could also be used to scrape dog doo off the bottom of your shoes!"Charlotte meetup," lets shoot for April 13-14 or 20-21. What say you? PM me to get the ball rolling! And may your face always be BBS!

Thanked: 13246I guess you could hone it again, claiming to get a good edge, do a video of yourself scraping lather off your face and claim that Pakistani razors are good to go,,, and post it on Youtube... Oh wait that has already been done and stupid newbs believe it ...
In the old days I would use them and other junkers to practice doing Restoration techniques

You put it in your honing kit and use it to cut the electrical tape for your good razors.
It's still a straight razor so you gotta show a little love to it.

I understand that they stir paint quite effectively.
One could put a Pakistani razor in his shoe. Change his name to "Leroy Brown"!
