Well, I learn something everyday here.
I'll get me a bottle tomorrow.
Stimpy, will that amber color stain my Norton 4000 or my shapton 16000?
If it does, I guess I could use the rest on my Carborundums.

Laphroaigh Quarter Cask goes with everything!
I think it's the smoke that gives the edge the final polish it needs.
A Cohiba cigar goes well with it, again "the smoke"! (If you live in the US, to bad! )
Everclear would be good sanitize wise, but only good for honing razors made out of aluminum and I leave that to the pros...

Thanked: 109Every time I try using bourbon to find the perfect edge I seem to go over the edge. Sometime later when I get back up I can't seem to find the edge and often I can't find the razor or the stone.
YMMV
It just keeps getting better

The real question Glen is whether you have tried Absinthe on a coticule?
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
