The 15*7 coticule for 100 euro is a reasonable (not cheap) price.
But the others are WAY overpriced.
See here for new coticules for less money.

This is where mine came from. I have a 175*40 for 65 euros.
It comes with free lapping stone.
And it has a back of blue belgian, though that is generally not the case. I just got lucky

Those are Canadian inches. Mostly used for measuring fish, antler and other trophies.

Coticules come in 3 qualities: extra, extra-extra and kosher quality. You can check the going prices for extra and extra-extra here: http://www.belgischerbrocken.com/ Click on the Union Jack and then on the 1st link that appears.

Jewish quality stones are 30% more expensive than the extra-extra.

I bought my Jewish quality stone glued on slate 6" x 1 5/8" + rubbing stone for 60 euros at the quarry.

So whether it's good value or not depends on the quality on offer.

I was lucky to get half this on vintage stones but I saw a 2x4 natural bring $207 the other night on ebay.

Prices vary alot and on vintage stones one never know theb quality level but I have never had a bad vintage stone.

    Hi Bill,
Actually the pics and the measuring were done by the guy selling them.

    Tony,
I watched that auction also and was quite amazed at the price that it bought.

    Kees,
I will ask him and see what he says about the quality.
