Looks like Lithide has a habit of doing that. Mine fell on a tile floor, and shattered into pieces...

I was beginning to wonder if they might be unusually brittle. I've subjected other hones to far worse and they have emerged unscathed.

I guess I'm in this club too - I broke my Lithide too. Got another one but don't really use it now after I got a Swaty

Wow! I hope you guys don't drop your razors as often as you drop your hones!

But seriously, sorry to hear about your hones.

    Hmmm...
I better go knock on wood now...

Oh my, at first read I thought you broke your BONE! Relieved it's just your hone.

You know, it's possible you may still be able to use your hone if one of the pieces is big enough and the surface is undamaged. Just thought I'd mention it.

Really, sorry to hear about it.

It broke nearly in half; I can probably use it to lap other stones, but honing on it would be hard unless I was trying to sharpen hobby knives or something.

    Default Another Klutz

Broke mine too. Good thing, because then I gave up the barber hone masochism and bought myself a Norton and a couple of pasted bench strops. Many hours saved!
