OK, thanks guys. That makes sense. No point in polishing something that is blunt I guess.

I can get my razor to pop arm hairs easily and then 8 laps on the 8K gives a comfortable shave, but you guys seem to be at a totally different level to me.

I'm going to try easing up on the pressure a bit more on the 4K and see if I can get it to go the extra level.
