Thanked: 2First attempt at honing = success
Hi all,
Performed my first hone today on a Chinese 12k from The Invisible Edge. Spent the past two days lapping it on 320 wet/dry so it's nice and flat. It's a flaming hard stone but almost all of the imperfections are out.
Did about 20-30 laps as a refresh and it's resulted in my closest shave ever by quite a way. Guess I didn't realise how much it needed it. Absolutely no irritation or burning. Totally perfect and I owe it all to this forum and it's wealth of information.
Cheers guys.

Thanked: 247Glad you found success. It's pretty rewarding to have improved an edge, isn't it?
Wait til you take one all the way from a bevel set...that feels like total victory
