There are plenty of people not far from you who would be more than happy to hone razors for you.. Look in member services under the classifieds.. Or Just pm me I'm in queens for work and live not far from NYC I can help guide you in your quest..

I'd be happy to help you out. If you are willing to take a trip to jersey I can hone your razor and show you how I do it. I can also demo stropping, lather making, and some basic razor skills. Or you can ship me the razor and I'll hone it.

I'm in on the GTG. We had one recently in NJ that was terrific. There's nothing like hands on training, especially with regards to honing and stropping.

If you're into mentoring, or if we can get a another GTG onthe calendar, I would love to get to the next step on maintenance. Not sure that honing is for me, but with a dozen or so razors in my inventory, I need a solid maintenance plan..

I always advise those that are new or even veterens to this Art of using a straight razor to seek out Hands On help!

I'm sure that you learned more in that short period of time than you would have in months reading and watching videos!!!

Absolutely, I look forward to that day. I have to say that I feel like I have been fortunate to have such a willing mentor. In such a short period of time I have been exposed to so much. Michael also gave me very positive feedback on my technique. I feel excited and energized. You should drop Michael a line and introduce yourself to him.
