Thanked: 7I really love these kamisori. They are a pleasure to see lying side by side and the shaves are the closest ever, shaving with the grain. Actually against the grain is not necessary on a daily basis.
If there a slightest concerns, they regard the smoothness. By now I only stropped the right one, the originally sharper one, but after some little honing (and stropping of course) the left gives still the smoother feeling. But the smoothness depends although of the ankles used while shaving and of the shaving soap used and the time applicated.
(Maybe I should shave tomorrow with one of my other knifes, to get a good comparison, the times I used them are "long" ago, and euphorism somtetimes lead to unobjective judgements...)
P.S.: I´m not a relative of Old_School and Mr. Takahashi and I don´t get any special discount...

Hello Dullblade;
I'm a new member to SRP. I have a #2 in route now. I have been using an Iwasaki 1 for past few months and have really enjoyed the shave quality. Mui bueno. I don't think I will be wrapping the handles though. I know it improves grip, but I like to keep the steel lubed up. Can't wait to get it and try it out. I will show it to a local SRP mentor in my area. Have a nice day!!
