Glad you and your family that live close are OK Seth. Hope everyone else not in the immediate area are fine also.

Have all our members in Japan checked in?

I've been traveling all day and have only been able to get bits and pieces of info in the airports. My first thought was for all of our members in Japan. God be with each of you. JimR Thanks for checking in and keeping us informed.

I agree. My prayers are with those in Japan right now. It's sounds like there is a real threat for potential meltdowns at more than one nuclear reactor there.

+1 . Let's hope the reactor situation is contained & there is enough stability for repairs & rebuilding.

Would it be too much to ask if a moderator could look up the membership lists of every active member from Japan and post them? We have a great community here and it would bring some peace of mind to many of us to know that they are OK.......and if any members were affected to help out. I'd really like to help in any way.

It's really nice to see the members from Japan are checking in and giving us some news. It's even nicer to see that many members of our community want to reach out. Thank you for those of you who have checked in.

The latest is that at minimum 9500 people are missing from northern Japan and at minimum 400 dead. Even worse is that those numbers will go up.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in Japan. God bless.....

    Unhappy The Quake

You'd think the tsunami damage would end already, but no. An interview earlier today said that terrain had actually sunk under the shock of the quake. Tsunamis poured into flat, sea-level land, soaked the earth, and--with the lack of any slope now--have no outlet back to the sea.

I hope everyone's all right. Nobody here really knows me yet, but I'm fine. The reactor situation looks to have taken a turn for the better, at least for the moment. The emergency shipment of coolant from the U.S. probably helped a lot.

    Take care, all.
