    The paperwork inside says solid nickel silver bolsters & shield & rose wood handles
    The edge is factory & I won't hone it,,, leave it as is.

    WOW that's a gem! Very collectible as well. Lot's of people collect the old Schrade knives. In fact Bladeforums has a whole subforum devoted to them. Very cool!

    John - those do look like sterling silver assay marks. If so they will give you the date if you care to do a little research.

    Indeed they do, BUT, they aren't. They're on there just for looks on that series.

    Those are nice knives.

    I've got an NOS I*XL that was made at the "end of days" of that company. It is a sad excuse of a Knife from a company with such a glorious past.
