I thought about that glow in the dark thing. May be pretty handy to grab it at dusk, as finishing, or at night, as needed! A proper scabbard should be forthcoming?

The glow in the dark is very subdued because it's only a liner. In pitch dark it is visible easily enough. In lighter conditions you don't even notice it. Other than the fact that by default, glow in the dark always makes things better, I think it has an actual use case here. If you're out camping it might be handy to find it in the dark without searching for it. And the second thing I thought of was that if you are so inclined, you could mount a scabbard to your nightstand, and if something goes bump in the night, you can take it out silently without having to rummage around or turn on the light.

Et voila. What I didn't expect was that it would split the large block of wood mid air. I thought it would just go 'thunk' half an inch to an inch into the wood. Instead it went clean through 2 times.
