So a client of mine was complaining to my wife who sub-contracts for her that she couldn't find a knife sharpener in town to do her knives. What does my wife tell her... you guessed it. My husband can sharpen anything!
Brothers - what was I going to tell my client when the cow brought me her 5 kitchen knives who also wanted the knives back the next day? "No problem - my pleasure", is what I said out-loud. lol - Sigh.
They were all so dull that my lowest grit stone wouldn't even entertain the things! But that's another story - I got em done.
The next day I taught her how to utilize a steel to maintain the blades, smiled, and again repeated no problem to her thanks. Anyway - she was so pleased and knowing I loved knives, a week later she bought me one as a thank you and gave it to me.
It's a big fat, nothing special steal $33.00 Kershaw with a dang serrated blade no less. I expressed my overwhelming gratitude and threw it in my pocket.
You know what!? I hate the knife but it really fits my hand. Moreover, you can choke up on the thing. The dang assist is a blast to play with - and it came sharp! I am actually enjoying the thing. I would probably never buy this thing myself but man I got to tell you... for $33.00USD, what a blast!!Last edited by earcutter; 10-16-2014 at 01:44 AM.
