    I thought the article at this link was interesting, about the types of knife steels and their characteristics. Guide to the Best Knife Steel | BestPocketKnifeToday.com

    I alternately carry two Benchmades: an Osborne designed Mini-Barrage Assisted (585) with a serrated edge and a McHenry and Williams designed 710 also with the serrated edge. Bothe are great knives for EDC depending on my clothes.
