The bottom right looks like a K.I.S.S 5520? Did you look at the H.U.G. 2?

Walmart doesn't carry them any more . I checked. Would only be about $5 cheaper when you add tax. I did consider the Native4 with the carbon fiber handles. It's thinner by about 2 mm and I was thinking it might work as the EDC for all occassions. But the handles are slick, VG10, no Boyle indent... So with the Native FRN and the Leek I'd have 2 specialized knives rather than 1 compromise and at 1/3 less price.

18*. What does it come out of the box with? And what sharpening solution do you recommend?
Out of the box is like 21 or so, and truthfully, I'd just stick with that. Waterstones are great to sharpen with, since you might have some of those already. To achieve perfect bevels I use an Edge Pro Apex, which is great. I'll sharpen yours free if you like.

Here's a video of the Edge Pro in action by the maker Ben Dale:

    Edge Pro, Inc.

It gets dead flat V-bevels and is mucho sharpero than the OTB sharpness. Once sharpened, you can keep it going with a chromium oxide strop or a ceramic rod.

That edge pro is fantastic! Too much money for my needs, but fantastic all the same! I'll have to stick with my Lansky. Should have something new to sharpen with it arriving tomorrow!

The bottom right knife is a CRKT Peck. Neat knife, but will come open on a key ring.

I usually carry a Strider drop point or a CRKT M16LE. Both are great knives, although the steel of the Strider is much better. The CRKT is a great knife for the money.

I went through a phase of purchasing many pocket knives through a couple of years and spent alot of money. My last purchase (over a year ago) was a Chris Reeves Sebenza with Cross-Cut Cocobolo scales. I should have started there first.

I also have a C.R. Mnandi with Camel Thorn Scales.
