    Wink Knives

I bought this CRKT Crawford KASPER (small) from a fellow knivesforum.com member. He had reversed the clip so that it is a tip up carry. I EveryDayCarried this knife for years and it always did its chores well. It stays sharp, doesn't rust and the blade is good for anything at task. Oh, it is lightweight as well.

Since we now live in the country my EDC is the SPYDERCO MANIX (large). I raise cantaloupes and I have personally cut, sliced, and forked out probably near a hundred pounds of them and hope to do many more with this trusty tool/weapon of shock and awe. You might snag on on ebay. Be prepared to ante over 100 American Dollars when you do. They are worth every penny! Nice time for this thread, Robert

A bit bigger than he wanted but I have to agree the Manix is a truly great knife, easily my favourite Spyderco out of the few Ive handled, they do tend to scare people though

Don't know about Canada but in California the length of the blade is not a consideration in determining a folder legal or not.

In Connecticut you can carry a knife with a blade with a sharpened edge not longer than four inches.

Can anyone confirm the rumors that Georgia will happily let you carry a 12" double sided pig sticker or a broad sword but not a even a sub 3" lock back? Something about wanting to give any victims a better chance of not getting snuck up on?

There's lots of nice ones out there, some more expensive that other, I have a "Gerber Gator" it's fantastic, I can shave with it. They used to make them with and without serrations....

    Smile CPM S30V Brittle Steel

Ben, Thanks for advising not to take the bevel below 18degrees because of chipping S30V Steel. I only keep mine just shy of shaving hair. I use a DMT extra fine sharpener. I almost never have to sharpen and the blade does not rust cutting vegetables or meats. This Manix is a bit extreme, but it makes the most solid "clack" when locking at full opening. A fun knife to carry to Sunday School social events! Bob Lum did a great design job on these super Spydercos. I wish they still made them. I have never tried the smaller version yet. Spyderco, Golden, CO, USA, Earth! Cool!

Here is my Spyderco. It is my second one. I had one and the clip broke so they sent me a brand new knife! That's good customer service! The spine is dinged up because I was cutting wedges with it and was whacking the spine with a wrench. It's a tool right? Also my KelTec is there. I don't leave the house without it.

Here are some more. I use these a bunch. Skinning chores, opening packages etc. I carry the Gerber Multi tool at work on my belt. Comes in real handy.
