    Mine is a current issue one, definitely a more slender blade from the WWII issue ones, i still wouldn't argue with a determined gurkha holding one though. Did you see the news last year about the gurkha court martialed in afghanistan?

    There really is something about them though, a mystique. Am a fan too

    Same as my current issue (obviously). As soon as I get time I'll post a picture of my three originals. You can determine scale from your own current issue as my current issue will be the middle Khukuri in the photo.
    What happened to the Ghurka being court marshalled? What was the charge?

    think it was maybe six months ago, hit the news here big time. The gurkhas were sent out to get rid of a taliban commander and they had to bring back proof obviously, i would imagine a body. well, while heavily under fire and trying to get the body out of there this very pragmatic gurkha thought "sod this" pulled his khukri and took the head off. That's what got plonked back on the CO's desk.. Anyway they court martialed him, there was a big outcry against it here.
