I was quite surprised not to see any mention of regularly carried firearms until 3 pages in. I assumed that would be fairly common among at least the US members of this group. As for me, I guess I still live by the ole' Boy Scout motto:

    Right rear-wallet
Left rear- small notepad, Skoal and occasionally a Leatherman Skeletool (fantastic minimalist, easy to carry multi-tool if you're interested!)
Left front- small flashlight, keys, spare change
Right front ALWAYS a pocketknife (usually a Kershaw Blur, also highly recommended), cell phone, pen, lighter
and my .45 on the belt wherever legally allowed.

I figure a Neanderthal could always defend himself, cut things and make fire, and I'll be damned if I'm going to be helpless compared to him, everything else is just convenient.

Give me a few years. Most people are eager to drink on their 21st Birthday, I can't wait to concealed carry. I'll probably go with either a Kimber 1911 .45 or a Sig in .40.
No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

These are the contents of my pockets on most days, 'cept the watch goes on my wrist. Sometimes I include a cellphone.

At work I've got a small (business card sized) moleskine notebook and a pen in my shirt pocket. I had bright orange ones made up that say "this pen stolen from the desk of bharner". They still get taken but they're easy to find.
I have my wallet (front pocket), personal phone, work phone, little bit of change, some pocket lint, and a small black oxide coated gerber folder with a 2ish" blade (just small enough to squeak by work's no weapon policy) that is basically a modern looking pen knife. On a belt loop I have keys to car/house and keys to my desk, file cabinets, all 8 apartments and their medication closets.

Normally there is nothing in my pockets. On weekends there is keys, some money, at times a phone, I hate things in my pockets, however on the key chain are a 'Squirt' Leatherman tool and a tiny Swiss army knife...
