He's a freakin' wizard with an angle grinder, but apart from a ton of respect for that, I wonder about making an axe with welds in the bits that you need to be strongest. Not sure I'd want to be swinging that for very long at the woodpile.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

As it was said--This was to be a 'Display Piece'. But I do wonder what would happen with some Pro Welding and some heat treating.

What is the deal with a 4" angle grinder? I agree it is a useful tool but if I watch almost any DIY video it seems that a 4" grinder and a hot glue gun is all you need to make anything.

About the 4" Angle Grinder--Maybe it's because the discs are only about 1/16" thick so the don't waste a lot of material?

    Here is my humble collection.
I recently got several double bits to play with. The painted ones need clean up and all are getting new handles eventually.

Got distracted by some very nice knives and came across the well-respected Winkler brand. High end axes / tomahawks are another specialty of theirs as evidently variants of these are very popular with the military:

If I'm not mistaken someone, can't remember who, wanted Bruno to make him a battle axe. Maybe Bruno will see this and let us know if he did make somethng like this.

I found more information from the creator of this Battle Axe. Here's the link just in case someone wants to make one.

NOTE: You will find that the maker basically made this as a decorative piece as it wasn't hardened after the blade was completed. I have no idea how it would work with some hardening.
