Ya, file off the mushrooming on the pole, wire brush the paint off and then a good sharpening. Might steel wool the handle and give it some linseed oil too.

NOTE: You will find that the maker basically made this as a decorative piece as it wasn't hardened after the blade was completed. I have no idea how it would work with some hardening.

He's a freakin' wizard with an angle grinder, but apart from a ton of respect for that, I wonder about making an axe with welds in the bits that you need to be strongest. Not sure I'd want to be swinging that for very long at the woodpile. Originally Posted by DZEC
