Welcome Ackers. Another UK member here.
You can't go wrong buying a Dovo from I.E.
However you would have been better off buying a 2.5 or even better a 3inch strop as learning to strop is hard enough without throwing in the X pattern needed for the narrower strops. You will probably destroy your first strop though so don't buy an expensive one !
Also don't use strop paste on your only strop. As previously stated, buy a piece of 3inch wide balsa wood from a modelling shop. Glue it to a solid piece of wood then flatten it on fine sandpaper. Then apply Chromium Oxide to the balsa and your sorted.
